Andre has over 15 years of experience creating meaningful impact at the individual, team and organizational levels of leadership development. Along with being an experienced executive coach and facilitator, he has a specific interest in large-scale executive coaching and bringing coaching skills into organizations to help create cultures of increased trust, transparency and better communication.
Andre has worked on projects within a wide range of industries, including FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunications, Chemicals, and Financial Services. Andre held a variety of leadership positions at the Center for Creative Leadership, including running the coaching business for the EMEA region and leading the coaching practice for the US region. In addition to working with an array of large global clients, Andre collaborated on creating new and innovative coach-training programs, recognized with certification by the International Coach Federation. His most recent position at CCL was Director of Coaching and Talent.
Before his current experience in Training and Development, Andre spent over ten years helping build successful technology-based start-ups in California and in Europe, where his professional experience included leadership roles in Product Management, Sales and Marketing, and Operations. He is familiar with “communicating through the supply chain,” having partnered with vendors in China, India, and Mexico. He has lived in the Netherlands, Los Angeles, Belgium and North Carolina.
Andre takes a pragmatic approach to coaching, meeting leaders where they are and applying a variety of methods to either help create behavior-based changes for immediate impact or a deeper level of internal transformation for longer-term impact. He works to create relationships that will allow for leaders to feel both supported and challenged as they drive to create results.
Andre believes that the best trainings are driven by the leaders who participate in them. For that reason he works to build structures that create immersive, deeply personal experiences where the facilitator always makes the participant feel like they are center-stage. Andre’s style is to start from curiosity and listening to understand, while clearly pointing out strengths of teams as well as opportunities for improvement. Additionally, Andre focuses on ensuring participants walk away with clear actions and next steps, understanding that class-room learning is just one part of the overall approach for development. Andre has facilitated with a range of audiences, including small group work with top leaders in organizations and larger groups of leaders across organizations.
Andre is trained in various approaches to facilitation and favors the 4MAT for Business design methodology, which ensures larger organizational outcomes are connected to individual outcomes. Andre also believes that a blended approach of experiential, individual and group learning along with teaching models and leadership frameworks are most effective, but only if they are relevant to what the leader needs in that moment and what the organization expects from that leader in the business.
