Gert Schrijver, Director, EMEA


Gert has over 25 years of significant experience in Finance and Human Resources with large multinationals in various local, regional, and global roles (CHRO/SVP). With a passion for developing people and organizations, Gert is a high energy team builder, coach, and company director with a very commercial “can do” attitude. Originally Dutch but having lived in the UK, Spain & USA, he has a strong track record of understanding and delivering cross cultures. Gert leads Table Mountain in EMEA, working closely with portfolio leaders and consultants in the region to ensure Table Mountain is well positioned for client support.


Gert began his career in finance, joined the team at Unilever, and later shifted to a Human Resources role. After Unilever, he joined Imperial Brands and ultimately became their GHRD/CHRO. Responsible for the full People Agenda, he has in-depth C-suite knowledge and as such, has coached at all levels.

Gert takes a direct, commercial, results driven and pragmatic approach to coaching. Taking his wealth of experience onboard, he creates relationships that simultaneously have the right mix of support, understanding, and challenge and doesn’t shy away from “asking the difficult questions”.

Gert believes that the best development programs are driven by strong connections and communication between everybody involved. Energy and passion are key and ultimately the base to build a safe environment where people open up, participate, learn, and have fun.

Gert’s style is very down to earth and curious, and he connects with people in an authentic and personal way. He focuses on ensuring participants’ experiences produce new thoughts, different perspectives, and clear objectives going forward.
