He supports their work by helping them: identify key goals and objectives, recognize what’s getting in the way, and create actions that create success. His coaching technique is based on a framework of Assess / Challenge / Support, drawing on his considerable senior management experience and his knowledge of team dynamics and individual behavior in the workplace.
With teams, John takes a holistic approach that works from the inside and out. First, he helps team members recognize their personality and stylistic similarities and differences. He then works with the team to identify the root causes of conflict and explore alternative paths to resolve it. Finally, he secures commitment across the team to leverage their strengths and minimize their differences in support of the organization’s goals. This process helps generate a deeper level of understanding, greater empathy, and increased trust and collaboration across the team.
